Printed Column @ Futurium
The additive manufacturing of concrete can be used to create not only lightweight buildings but also a new formal language based on technical parameters and human perception. In the context of the installation Printed Tower in the Futurium in Berlin, ssp in collaboration with researchers of the UdK Berlin and the french firm XtreeE designed and fabricated a 1:1 column from white concrete which uses only one third of the material of a conventionally fabricated building element.
